Spotlight's arrival was sort of brushed aside in the immediate events that followed with Lake's devastating injury, here's a catch-up on him before Bandon arrives. He's a 10 year-old Pony of the Americas, a neat little breed of sturdy pony who display Appaloosa coloring and larger-than-Shetland size.
Spotlight enjoys FOOD. I mean this is the most food motivated little bugger I've ever known. He's also the combination of every cliche' pony you've ever seen portrayed in a cartoon except he is easy to catch (did I mention he's crazy about food?).
Apparently he feels like it's his personal challenge to figure out new ways to dump my wheelbarrow daily when I'm cleaning his stall. When I convince him not to flip it, he convinces himself he can jump it. He can't. He dumps it that way too. He also dumps and manages to remove his water bucket from the wall every night. Spotlight is typical of kid horses though, super careful and aware of them at all times. He fits right in!
